	You trigger an old memory; the repeating events are probably part 
of it as well, as there are a few ways of doing it and Shadow doesn't 
handle it perfectly. (You may recall some versions of Shadow would see a 
repeating event and show some gunk one of the fields, but I think I 
repaired that looong ago.)

	Its probably a combination of repeating events, deleted events, 
and sort order.

	All compounded by the bloody Data Mangler issue when they 
converted to new formats.

	You open up old wounds here ;) A lot of this stuff would have been 
improved (performance) and fixed (couple of these nagging oddities in some 
devices) by the move to the newer data formats (the ones that went 
undocumented for a year or more..) .. but I had so many dozens of 
device-reset bugs in the OS that it made me just give up and roll back all 
those changes. That was when I was working on new conduit stuff to do 
'post sync' updates and rescans .. was just a nightmare of undocumented 
things and buggy OS stuff. *garg* Just made it so unpleasant and hostile I 
ave up.. that was one of the things that broke the camels back :)
