I'm trying to use gpl yanoff with the java conduit. However, my
newserver requires logging in with a secure connection (ssl). I know
that none of the yanoff's support logging in through ssl, but does
the java conduit handle it?

I'm not real clear on what the conduit does. Is it just a non-gui
nntp client that does the actual polling from newsservers or does it
use existing clients (say outlook express) to do the polling for it
and manipulates the results. The conduit would be much more useful to
me if it uses existing clients which support ssl.
