No I messed up. I mistakenly hit "Start, run" and a command line came up, which I put in "nslookup..."
and you know the rest. Now I did get the command prompt
box and typed in the required info and it worked just fine.

  Assuming you have Win XP, when you run Start>Run>cmd, you should get a command
  box that does not go away until you Exit out of the box.  Did you mistakenly do

          nslookup privatenews.microsoft.com
    that should give you the IP address you need to
    fill in. I agree this shouldn't happen like this, I have no idea
    what's wrong.
