I installed the latest Conduit Development Kit (CDK) from Palm and there is
no Java folder.
Fearing the worst, I contacted Palm and here is their first (not officially
confirmed yet) response:

   The JSync suite has not been not updated for CDK 6.x.
   Java conduits are only supported for HotSync Manager 4.x at this time.
   As of right now, the only users who are affected by this are
   Tungsten T5 and Treo 650 users.

I will be updating the FAQ as soon as I get everything confirmed.
I don't know if this is temporary or not but I have asked all the followup
questions and will let everybody know what Palm says.
The worst case scenario is that the conduit will have to be ported to C/++.
That would be a HUGE bummer because we simply do not have the cycles to do
that anytime soon.

Thankfully, both those devices (and probably all new HW, too) have bluetooth
so a fairly painless solution is to buy a bluetooth dongle on ebay for $5
and setup Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on your PC and you are good to
go.  It should take roughly the same amount of time to transfer articles to
PDA but being separate will make your HotSyncs much faster.  This is how I
use my T|T and I go through about 1K articles/day with no trouble at all.
The only thing you lose is if you are using Yanoff- or a trial-expired
Yanoff+.  For such users, threading may be very time consuming because
thread caching is not available.  This is only a problem for large numbers
of articles and if it takes too long, you can always turn threading off
entirely and then installing articles into the NGs is very fast.  Also, the
threading on the PDA is not perfect like the conduit's threading is but 99%
of the time, this is not noticeable.
