Crash on my TX

Just updated this week to a TX from a Handera 330.  Great machine.  Great c=
onnectivity. It's a pleasure to wirelessly download email, read newsgroups =
(with Y+ of course), and surf the net.=20=20

Y+ has been very  stable.  There have been a few bugs, mainly with the 5-wa=
y and scroll bar, but that's for another report.  The only Y+ related crash=
 occured after I exited Y+ for the first time, subsequent to re-installing =
Y+ v.3.0 and my associated saved db's.  After re-indexing, all was well.


In reference to Y+ disconnecting from a wireless connection, a few cautions=
: if you start your wireless connection automatically by polling, Y+ will d=
isconnect after it finishes polling; the TX will disconnect from wi-fi or b=
luetooth if no wireless activity in order to conserve battery power, and wi=
ll very nicely reconnect when needed; nearby neighbors with wireless networ=
ks who hide their SSID's and broadcast on your same channel will mess upcon=
nectivity; and most importantly, a number of utilities will interfere with =
apps related to connectivity.  TextPlus for example, will crash the launch =
of Blazer among other connectivity issues.  Other utilities, such as those =
that customize the statusbar or provide hack-type enhacements, can also adv=
ersely affect the stability of the TX, even if they claim OS 5 compatabilit=
y.=20=20

Because of this, I have had to abandon many valuable hacks and hack-type en=
hancnements. Alas, such is the price of progress.  If only Palm had consult=
ed me prior to designing the TX.=20=20

Anyways, until Palm comes out with a =93Tungsten Howard=94,  I'm quite happ=
y with the TX.  Oh yeah, Y+ is pretty nice too.  Article downloads absolute=
ly blaze with wi-fi.  lt works with a wide variety  of usenet servers.  It'=
s also my main newsgroup reader; 95% Y+, 5% Agent.=20
