I'm not sure whether this helps, but here's what I do:  I go through the
list of messages and read the ones I want to.  If I make it through the
entire list, I then do a "delete all unlocked."  If I don't make it
through the list, I do a "delete on up," which will delete the current
article and all the ones above it in the list.  I have both of these
actions set to a soft button on my article list screen.

This is not possible in the current release, and without using 2 lines or
a really small font, I don't think all that info would fit.  I have a
button set to toggle header/body view in the article body screen so at
least if I want to see more info, I can get it easily.

The buttons are fully configurable (at least in the paid version), so you
can re-program them to work the way you like.  For me, this is one of the
best things about Yanoff, because I've got all the commands I use for each
screen set to a soft or hard button, and I never need to go to a menu for
every day newsreading tasks. Kill has the meaning you'd expect from a
desktop newsreader, i.e., do not download this thread anymore.

Not that I'm aware of...unless you can get the article number from the
child article's headers (Yanoff allows you to poll a specific article if
you have the article number -- but I think it's the number on *your*
server).
