Back to the new bootloader now that I'm properly creating images [as I guessed
it was a) stupid and b) gen_boot]

Where are the release notes/installation intructions you referred-to in the
previous message? I can't find them.

I would like to read some documentation, because it seems possible to do dual
booting with wince , gpe etc. as presented for the ipaq. Actually I'm looking
for the file which I must update and how I can make a boot menu (to avoid
keyboard/serial port interaction for demos etc)

I would like to configure that by hand (to write an howto) and have:
 -  a default boot on the rom using opie
 - other options in the bootmenu to boot on the compact flash:
     - wince 3 complete img
     - wince .net complete img
     - gpe complete img
     - opie with kernel 2.6 complete img
     - kernel 2.6
     - net

the first couple (wince img) shouldn't be too hard, since wince doesn't store
anything on the rom - it just uses the ram. according to the faqs I've read,
this can be overcomed by backup utils

the second couple (linux img) would require reading and writing to the jfffs2
image on the compact flash

the the last one would mean using the jffs on the flash as the root partition +
a kernel from the compact flash or from the net.
