Hello, I'm happy I pinpointed te audio crack on screentouch bug: it's due to a direct mixer access on the main volume. I was trying to reproduce it before with opie restart, and I finally found a faster method: Try that : power on, touch screen - it cracks - suspend unsuspend, touch screen - it doesn't crack, open mixer app, change main volume - it cracks - suspend unsuspend, touch screen - it doesn't crack, open mixer app, change mic volume, touch screen - it doesn't crack, change main volume, touch screen it still doesn't crack I think on opie startup, the main volume is set by some application - this cause the initial crack. A suspend with cause some default values to be written back into ucb1x00 fixing the bug which will only reappear if the main volume is changed again. After reading ubc1x00-audio.c, I think it comes from the mask line #99. In the worst case, reading the current mic volume and setting it to that value before setting the main volume should be a good workaround Of course changing 0xff00 to the correct value would be better. Maybe someone with the datasheet could help? UPDATE: Chris just told me the bug didn't happen with X11 image so it may be an opie bug Now many questions: 1) leds I'd like to know how to call the leds from a user application (ex: make charging led blink if a new email is received). A sample hello world application with that feature would be great - all I could find was opensimpad/build/linux-2.4.19/arch/arm/mach-sa1100/leds-simpad.c about the green led. 2) power button How should I proceed to map the power button to a suspend event? I'm thinking of a daemon which would monitor gpio0 and echo > /proc/pm/sys/suspend It could save some time instead of going to menu/suspend. I'm strarting to hack a solution based on http://www.mn-logistik.de/unsupported/pxa250/gpio.c but any cleanest code or suggestion is welcome. 4) smartcard tda8007 driver Is it safe to try the code? I've got several smartcards I'd like to play with :-) 5) kernel 2.6 what's missing? How can I help?
