Which older T? Is T3 screen worth the extra over an E?

Recent Palms ship with a Desktop that only works on Windows 2000 or
later, according to this list

My home computer is a Win98SE laptop and I'm not planning to replace
it any time soon, so I'd have to look for an older Palm, preferably
with non-volatile memory.  The obvious choices would be Tungsten E
(not E2) or T3.

Please - how much is the T3's extra screen size really worth over the
E?  Especially vis a vis the direct charge connection, which I
understand the E has but the T3 doesn't?  Should I also consider even
older models?
