I'm not sure what time of year you're planning this ride (you Northern
Hemisphere people have such strange seasons.  Snow! At Christmastime!
Weird...) but if it's in lightweight jacket suitable weather, have a look
at the ScotteVest with solar panels on the back.

Heck, they might even sponsor you!  They're always keen for newsworthy
stories to link in to, and I think a unicycle marathon should qualify.

I use a little fold-out solar charger occasionally, and it extends the life
of low-current devices more or less indefinitely.
