Memory while running, or simply file size?

In either case, it's /probably/ due to the fact that a "pc"
(I assume you mean an Intel x86 style architecture) is CISC,
while the StrongARM in the Zaurus is more RISC.
(Fewer instructions == you need more of them to do the same thing
on hotter, more power-hungry CISCs)
