-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi! I mean memory when running, file size is not much bigger. I agree with you, but no matter how many instructions it takes to do something, it still should not consume like 10-20 megabytes more than on a pc. The code is perhaps bigger (by 20k max), but the memory footprint should not really be .. However it could be because of some architectural difference, but what would that be ? yes, I forgot to tell that the difference is 10-20 megabytes :) not just a few kbytes in which case you would be right Denes $$$ Memory while running, or simply file size? $$$ $$$ In either case, it's /probably/ due to the fact that a "pc" $$$ (I assume you mean an Intel x86 style architecture) is CISC, $$$ while the StrongARM in the Zaurus is more RISC. $$$ (Fewer instructions == you need more of them to do the same thing $$$ on hotter, more power-hungry CISCs) $$$ $$$ -bill! $$$ $$$ $$$ - -- "Use the source Luke !" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9nL46aQToeq3jgogRAqsLAJ96g/TnGL4E91wBy67yzSKOSz/jnACghdO3 /aIiEyHFxblZt2O8hFbVkok= =/8kn -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
