Thanks for the response, but I still couldn't connect. I do have DHCP, so
no IP required. DNS server is the one I didn't use. Without DNS, I should
be able to ping the network using IP address, right? Now I can't ping
anything and ifconfig returns only loopback ip.

Here is my detail step
set up wireless lan 1. ESSID=any select infrastructure
2. no Wep enbled because we don't support wep

3. Network and Sync. I have to create a LAN IP network without using DNS
server, because it gets IP automatically, no proxy.
4. In Internet Wizard, creating a LAN connection.

what is missing? thanks a lot.
Yong

i didn't put anything for ESSID - left it on non-specific. left network
type on infrastructure. wep enabled 128 open system set the key to the hex
(you really should do this - if you leave wep off on your network anyone
that can get near your network in proximity has complete access - and you
only need to enter the hex once per device). also set up tcp/ip - under
internet wizard, unless you have dhcp. sometimes i need to go into that app
and click switch connection just to get it to register, but not always. iff
you are configuring, set the router to the router of your network, not the
ip of the access point (i made this mistake, assuming it would act like a
router). and don't forget a dns server or you'll be connected but still
won't be able to access anything. the green light should be solid, but i
think that means it found the access point, not that you necessarily can get
out to the internet.

hope that helps,
sander

I got DCF-660W card but could not get it to work. Checked the howto section

on the zaurus help page, but it doesn't help much.

What is the detail step staring from Wireless LAN Configuration setup and

Network and Sync setup. Should i specify the IP address.

For example, what is value for ESSID. I added lynksys and selected

infrastructure, and no wep. In network sync, I created and new LAN

connection and automatically get IP and no proxies, after registering it. I

still could not connect to the access point. Is that all? or I missed some

step. (the light on the card became solid after flashing for a while,

suppose to mean it is connected to the LAN)

thanks
