Mic/headphone jack isue in 5500

I have a zaurus 5500 for some months now. I've been using openzaurus on it
 and everything was going fine.. After I installed the full version of Bust
'em (I am almost sure that this has nothing to do with it but it might be a
clue), the headphone output stopped being stereo and now only get the right
channel. (Mic is still working ok). I reflashed the zaurus with the latest
tkc.rom, but still the same. Reflashed again with OZ3.2 and still nothing.
The only thing I get from the left channel is some noise which with some
imagination sounds like how the proper sound from the left channel would be
if it worked right and this on;y if I put the volume in max level. Anybody
got any idea? Can this be somehow fixed?
