The USB drivers work beautifully for me. I am running Open Zaurus 3.2 on the Z (5000d ouch). I think the real trick is to make sure that you have your zaurus, mac and qtopia on the same set of ips.. The zaurus should default to 192.168.129.201 for an ip. On the mac go to System Preferences / Network and choose Show: Ethernet Adapter (en2). Then choose Configure: Manually. Enter something like 192.168.129.101 in the Ip box. Close the preferences and launch Qtopia Desktop. Go to qtopiadesltop menu / preferences / general and make sure usb is selected and 192.168.129.201 is set as the ip. On the z go to security under settings. Set Accept sync from network: 192.168.129.0/24 and the Qtopia should pick it up. Qtopia still seems a little funky to me. Each time I switch to qtopia from another app it hangs for a second or two before letting me do anything. Kinda a pain if you are data entering from another program. Also, for some bizarre reason, the apple Mail client can't get to the net when i have the zaurus connected via usb. I can open up a different mail client and i can pull up mail fine. It doesn't seem to affect any other program and routing looks fine..... -Tim On Thursday, Sep 18, 2003, at 20:27 America/New_York, Jim Siburt wrote: > I downloaded the USB drivers and followed the instructions, restart > the computer etc., and still Qtopia says, "Trying to connect to PDA" > and nothing happens.
