I doubt there is any new information since this was last discussed on 
9/29 - 9/30 in openzaurus-users mail list.  Did you suspect something 
has changed?  Have you checked the archives?  Are you responding to 
some other information?

It is my understanding that it is _bluez_ (rather than affix) which 
works with the newer SharpROMs (Kernel = 2.4.18).

I don't think that Sharp ever released a ROM with kernel = 2.4.18 for 
the SL-5000D.

If bluetooth is important to you then your _only_ solution appears to 
be the tkcROM for SL-5000D
