Phil,

Where did you find the *creator ipk files?  Does it say they are 
suitable for the 5600 / 5500 3.10 app versions?  If it doesn't say 
did you ask the supplier of the *creator ipk files?  The *creator 
ipks may only be compatible with the 5500 2.x ROMs.

Did you look at the creator ipks on http://killefiz.de/zaurus ?  Enter 
'creator' in the search field.  The OperaCreator specifically states 
ROM 3.10 support.  (Though it seems to point to a whole Opera 6 
package rather than a "creator" script.)

You might also try the "applications pack" file on this this page:
http://community.zaurus.com/project/showfiles.php?group_id=47&release_id=201
which have the already-ripped .ipks
