I mentioned on the OpenZaurus mailing list that my second Netgear MA701 died, and I'm certainly not going to replace it with another one. I see there are several cards that people have found to work. Some are significantly more expensive than others, and I'm trying to find out why. The most expensive, the Socket card, says it's low power, which would be great. Here's my concern: One of the reasons I think I had problems with my MA701 was physical fit. I would often have to insert the card several times before getting it seated properly so it would work. Or I would put it down and the card would touch something and the light would go out. It's a Type I card, which is thinner than Type II cards. So I thought I would get a Type II card, but the only supported one is the Linksys WCF11, which I understand blocks the stylus slot. My question, then, is "Am I crazy"? Do others feel that Type I cards in general, or the Netgear MA701 in particular, fits so loosely in the Zaurus that it causes problems? I know I'm not the only one to have intermittent problems with that card. BTW: the advice I've seen so far is that the Linksys WCF12 is a great card, but I heard from two people that theirs died. I'm also anxious to get feedback on CF 802.11 cards, especially with OpenZaurus, but I'm also concerned about the form factor question too. Thanks in advance. -- DDDD David Kramer [email protected] http://thekramers.net DK KD DKK D Stephanie says that she wants to know DK KD Why it is thought she's the door DDDD She can't be the room - Lou Reed
