The sync protocol is available if you sign a non-disclosure.
It's in Japanese, which makes it a little hard to work with.

Since it's not ftp based any more which is why Andrew had problems, but it 
is based on a windows dll. so no Linux at the moment.
You can write a similar sync using samba, just pull the dtm data, move it 
to a file on the desktop, merge, copy the result back down and update the 
dtm.
