Portable Keyboard Layout

A few weeks ago, I discovered Portable Keyboard Layout (
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pkl/). I've used it to change keyboard
layouts, but it'd also be quite helpful for learning.

Its intended use is on a USB drive so you can use non-standard keyboard
layouts like Colemak on computers where you can't or don't feel like
installing the layout. I don't use Colemak, but I find it very helpful for
switching keyboard layouts of lab computers; I download a small PortableApps
package from myself whenever I use lab computers so that I can SSH to my
computer to use R, octave and git, and it's quite convenient to be able to
change the keyboard layout in the same place.

It could also be really helpful for learning keyboard layouts as you can set
it to display a help image with the keyboard layout. This is more convenient
than printing out the lay and taping it to your monitor. The only problem is
that it requires AutoHotKey and thus only works on Windows.
