Once upon a time you couldn't hook up and external keyboard but now you can. I think this feature was intended more for the iPad, but since they are now using the same OS, Apple made it available for the iPhone. So far I have found that Qwerty is not so bad when typing with two thumbs, and it doesn't confuse my normal typing. But I would sure like to have it on my iphone--at least to try-- and on my future iPad touch screen. Somewhere on the apple site there is a place to send nice suggestions for such changes. Fred, (typing on my Kinesis keyboard, yet at the same time somewhat interesting in the Truly ergonomic keyboard http://trulyergonomic.com/ (which is missing a Dvorak Dealy option))
