Hi all,

I took a closer look at the pin diagrams for PB7 and PB5. It seems that
these pins are output-disabled as long as the SPIEN (Serial Programming
Interface Enable) fuse bit is set to 0, which is the default, enabled
position (so it should really be named -SPIEN).

However, it seems that the 2313 does not allow programming of SPIEN via
the serial port.

Two questions:

1. If I were to program SPIEN = 1, can I later program it back to SPIEN
= 0 to enable serial programming again? The term "fuse" doesn't fill me
with confidence.

2. What's the point of a serial programmer if you can't use two of the
pins... and if you want those two pins you have to have a parallel
programmer?
