Can't write with avrdude and stk200, help please!

I have downloaded the latest WinAVR and compiled the demo prog and tried 
to download to my stk200 but i get lines like this

    0 ***failed;
***failed;
.
.
    16 ***failed;

aso...

This is what i have tried.

Reading the testprog from the stk200 worked (no errormessages)
And i run a disassembler on the hexfile and it produced
some code that looked ok to me.
Changed from wallwart to real powersupply.
Changed parport to use PCIboard with extra lpt's.
Tried another computer.
Tried " -v -v -v -v -v" but got no mure useful info.

If someone has a tip i would be glad otherwise i have to start trying to 
compile and debug avrdude on windows (XP) and since i normally work with 
unix(linux) systems this would be a timeconsumer to get it up and running.
