CANopen needs much more than only using 11 bit ID instead of 29 bit ID.
Two things come in mind:
- the Object Dictionary to control the boot loader
- the special access methods to the object dictionary,
  especially the CANopen SDO domain transfer

Do you have a direct link to the download GUI manual? (don't like to download 572 MB).
