Buffered CAN-CAN Bridge

I am thinking of implementing a buffered CAN-CAN message bridge
(store-and-forward) using the Atmel AT32UC3C2128C
<http://www.atmel.com/devices/AT32UC3C2128C.aspx> processor which contains
two CAN controller interfaces. It also contains a USB and Ethernet
interface which would be useful (link to a PC).

Does anyone know of an inexpensive, or open-source unit (complete or
PCB/firmware only, I can assemble)? A commercial unit (i.e.: 'expensive' as
far as I can tell by my searches so far) is probably too expensive for my
application - hobby.

In addition to the bridge function (all frames forwarded, no filtering),
support of a USB interface (again - 'bridge' function) would be handy.

Cheers,
