We encountered a problem due to an SQL change that was actually in V7R5. We were going straight to R6 from R4 and didn't think to check the V5 Memo. It is a difference in the way embedded SQL treats RPG indicators used as host variables. Caused major grief until it was resolved. I can supply more details if you need it. Best advice is to make sure you have read the upgrade docs for _all_ releases between your current and target release. Jon Paris [email protected] > On Jun 23, 2026, at 6:25 PM, James H. H.
