This is on V7R4 .... and not listed as defective but I can assure you it IS absolutely defective. BRMS PTF SJ09069. The BRMS GUI interface does not behave well after applying this PTF. Before anyone says to upgrade to V7R5 or R6 - it isn't happening any time soon or maybe not at all at this point. Typical download of the BRMS PTF Group. Installed on 3 partitions over the last 2 weekends. Staged and installed at IPL. Once the behavior was reported to IBM, I was asked to upload 23 various pieces of doc. Behavior is as follows: On 1 partition, when reviewing a backup, status of completed, the control group entries can be displayed. On a 2nd partition where the backup showed as incomplete or failed, the control group entries display an "OOPS message. Ona 3rd partition where the backup shows completed, the control group entries show an "OOPS" message. Stop / end QHHTPSVR *HTTP QBRMWEBSVR. RMVPTF. APYPTF as QSECOFR. Restart QBRMWEBSVR. SETUSRBRM to *ADMIN for the appropriate personnel. All partitions are at V7R4 and PTF's are the same across the board as are the licensed programs. IBM is still working the case. They are saying they may have a PTF for SJ09069 avail in the Sept Group PTF's. They can't seem to replicate the error we've presented. They even had us create an ".HAR" file and upload it to them. Google that if you don't know what that is. I had to. Note: All else in BRMS seems to be working as expected - 5250 and GUI. Just not the GUI backup control group entries.
