You might actually be better off with a generic receiver such as the 
irtoy or iguanaIR - the latter is what I use myself with my MCE remote.

The existing config should (might) work.  However, the timings in the 
config files are not an exact science, and you might need to re-record 
you remote. Of all the things you have done until now, this is probably 
one of the smaller tasks ;)
