imon, ir-keytable and kernel panic

Hello,

I am using 4.9.76-gentoo-r1 kernel and have the following at bootup

ir-keytable -c -p rc-6 -w /lib/udev/rc_keymaps/imon_mce

Unfortunately, with the above command i sometimes get:
