Grainger.com had this info in their catalog, not sure if they still do. You might try calling/emailing a manufacturer/dealer. Just like with AC, there's a big difference between average and rms. AC motors tend to draw a lot of power if they are slowed down which probably happens even with the right motor and a flywheel of any reasonable size (I'm sure a 2 ton steel flywheel would solve the problem, other than start up). It's been one of my favorite catalogs with a fair amount of specification/educational material on a lot of things (just haven't had much need for those products recently).
