I like the book by https://techexplorations.com/ on KiCad. It has been updated each year for the new version (although he is looking to do it a different way for version 9 due out soon) and also has a number of video courses to go with the book. I felt the price was reasonable. The book for V8 is two volumes, where previous versions have been a single volume.
