youtuber Phils Lab seems quite professional.

KiCad was always a chore until the more recent releases included features
like push and shove routing where it became fun.

Library management as mentioned  was/is still a pain  However, i did manage
to create a new footprint, imported a related 3D model I created in
freecad, used the 3D pcb view (which i think is cool) and quickly
discovered I had two components sharing the same space.
