Cynically, yes, but they've replaced the older "Snipping Tool" and captured
PRTSCRN to open the new one, it actually works reasonably well but like you
I'm always suspicious of MS's motives.

So, when Win 10 drops out of support I'll image and archive the installs
then wipe them all to install my preferred Linux distro.
