(windows 10) I use Win-Shift-S which darkens the screen and adds buttons at
the top for Rectangular, Free-form, Window, or Full-screen snips:

The snip goes into the clipboard and a notification goes into the list
where you can fire up the snipping tool, save to a file.  I used to use
Irfanview but this is cleaner.  I have no idea about any saving to OneDrive
