I read the original post as *the product* going into limited production ... but the PIC costs more now. My FAE explained to me once, that it costs more to run the older lines (larger process tech --> less parts). They won't re-design less-used older parts for smaller process tech, but will continue to make it for those who still need, and hence prices will go up. I also feel it's a push to get people to use the newer parts. -Neil.
