[EE] Microchip Masters conference?

Since Microchip bought Atmel, this should be relevant here. At work, we use primarily ATMega chips (primarily 1284P and 2561, and a few assorted others), plus some ATXmega chips for "bigger" projects. Development is done in C (IAR compiler), no OS. Would it be worthwhile for me to attend this year's Microchip Masters conference? I'm not an EE, though I do understand the circuitry, I don't design it, just write software.
