The two should allow you to restore the system to as-saved, modulo BIOS settings. What I've also done regularly in the past with new notebook computers (a bit less attractive today with flash prices) is to buy the notebook with whatever drive and immediately upgrade it by installing a new drive. The original one gets cloned onto the new drive and the original drive lives on a shelf for as long as I have the computer (probably much longer, tbh). If something were to go wrong during the warranty period, the old drive can be popped back in and the computer returned for service without much worry about data security.
