Free Online Java Beginner's course for Java newbies

Hello,

I have recently placed a Free Java Beginner's course online and the purpose of
this course is to provide a straight-forward way for traditional Embedded
Systems programmers to begin learning how to use Embedded Java.  The idea for
the course came from observing that all of the Embedded Java device vendors had
the same problem of their users needing to learn how to program in Java before
they could successfully use their devices.  A side-effect of this is that a
significant percentage of the traffic on each device's email list is devoted to
helping beginners get their minds around Java and object oriented programming
and this tends to be somewhat distracting.

The course is designed to help solve this problem by providing a foundation
module which is devoted to the fundamentals of programming in Java and
additional follow-on modules which focus on learning how to use a specific
vendor's device.  The intent is for vendors to rely on the foundation module to
get their users 'up to speed' on the fundamentals of Java and then to develop
follow-on modules which will show how to use their specific devices.
