TINI and Zigbee

The first zigbee compliant chip was out about two months ago (http://www.chipcon.com/ and http://www.zigbee.org), and I wonder if anyone have had a look at it - with interfacing to a TINI in mind? Brochure: http://www.chipcon.com/files/CC2420_Brochure_1_0.pdf Data sheet: http://www.chipcon.com/files/CC2420_Data_Sheet_1_0.pdf >From what I see (I am more a software person than a hardware one), the chip requires few external components, and has a 128 bit fifo buffered slave SPI interface capable of communicating at low enough speed that the TINI can keep up with it. (that is, using the SPI library provided from dallas :) Volume shipping is about to begin these days, but both samples and a equipped development kit is available for just US$540. The kit contains (chopped from their webshop): CC2420DK Development Kit All you need to get started and finished! A complete development kit including two CC2420 evaluation boards, two CC2420 evaluation modules, 5 sample pieces of CC2420, antennas and adapters. The technical documentation can be downloaded from our web site. --- Target price for each chip is around US$3 for higher volumes. >From the information I have found at their website, it shouldn't be an impossible task to get this working with the TINI. Besides that, it would be both a good and and a cheap solution, both compared with ethernet and bluetooth communication. Anyone interrested?
