I think there I some un-used space in the DS2502, so users could do
something like "name" a device using that space. Of course, the reason
why the internal OW bus was brought off the edge of the SIMM was so that
users could have DS2502-type devices on their base platform and the TINI
could figure out what it was plugged into by reading that.

Thanks, Bryan! (also thanks to Chris, who answered me off-list) And so,
another little question: is this feature using only on factory to
program DS2502 onboard, or this feature can be useful for an end-user.
As I know, DS2502 stores only MAC address and some configuration
information, isn't it?
