Pavel - I think there I some un-used space in the DS2502, so users could do something like "name" a device using that space. Of course, the reason why the internal OW bus was brought off the edge of the SIMM was so that users could have DS2502-type devices on their base platform and the TINI could figure out what it was plugged into by reading that.
