TCP/IP Stack in DS80C400

Dear all,

Any one can guide me on how to make the BSD calls route the tcp/ip raw
packets on serial port ? Does the BSD functions, send data to ethernet
controller directly when called ? For example, when connect(..) function is
called,  low level DS80C400 prepares the tcp/ip raw packet  in a buffer and
want us to sends it on serial port. Is that possible ????
