Hello alltogether,

As I have allready posted, I designed a board for the DS80C390, it is based
on the Tini Revision D design. When I connect it to a power supply and to
the com board of a personal computer, it does nothing. First I thought it is
a design error, but everything seems to be ok, I was very careful at the PCB
layout!

I asked the Dallas customer support, what I have to do for getting started,
the wrote that the Cpu uses a bootstrap loader, which programms the tini os
into the flash. When JavaKit sends a endofline, after DTR reset the
bootstrap load has a autobaud detector and sends back the welcome message to
the PC which appears in the JavaKit Window. I thought the bootstrap loader
is programmed in the internal CPU Rom, now customer support told me it is in
the first 64k of the flash!

So I need a preprogrammed flash which has this bootstraploader insinde,
otherwise I never can execute the Tini firmware download. So please can
anyone help? Has anyone of you ever setup an "empty" design? Can somebody
dump the first 64kB of the flash and send it to me? So I can programm it to
the flash!

If anyone could really help me it would not really be a big problem to send
him the pcb design data, but for own use only!

My design has the DSA80C390-FCR.0340B4-122AB CPU, and an AMD 29F040B Flash
Memory. If anyone has ever programmed the bootstrap loader to the flash,
which programming device had he used?

Thanks a lot
Ritch
