Dear Peter - Chris Fox might have a solution, so you could try contacting
him.

Also...

A round about way of doing 1-Wire interfacing using a TINI, that might be
worth investigating is in the DalSemi\MAXIM Application Note 193- "Extending
1-Wire Range With Network Proxies", and could be applied to some of the
off-the-shelf door lock\security systems that use a DS2406 to drive a
solenoid "lock". This uses the 'NetAdapter' classes (for remote 1-Wire
access); I have used on a TINI running in California, all the way to
England, and it is very releiable.

"NetAdapter is a network-based DSPortAdapter. It allows for the use of an
actual DSPortAdapter which isn't on the local machine, but rather is
connected to another device which is reachable via a TCP/IP network
connection."

Access Control System"

This would be a "roll-your-own" solution, but I know that others on the TINI
SIG have done this.

To quote from the above noted lock application:

"A good choice for the electronic door strikes is Securitorn’s UnLatch®. It
is motorized, sized to a commercial door strike plate and easily installs
into the door jam. TINI activates this strike with a short pulse on the
UnLatch’s "Trigger" input. This smart strike then does the rest. (Note this
strike will only work with cylindrical door lock sets.)"

Also, using Tynamo (Shawn Silverman's excellent TINI Web Server), would be
an expedient way to write a servlet interface to a door strike solenoid. He
has examples (Java source code) for interfacing to any number of sensed
DS2406's on a MicroLAN (1-Wire Network), using a TINI.

I hope that helps! Best regards, Kelly Smith

Subject: [TINI]Access control with prox cards

HI all,
just wondering if anyone has an access control (door lock ) using HID prox
readers , with remote card admin via TCP/IP

I need to control 4 readers 4 doors with mag locks & 4 egress buttons per
building.

Admin office is located 2500 Km away ( Yes I'm In Australia )

If one of you very clever people have a system up & running I would be crazy
to try to "re-invent the wheel" so to speak.
