RE: TINI Community Contributions - TINI Proxy 0.3

I would like to contribute my TINI Proxy 0.3, described as:

TINI Proxy is a simple TCP router and diagnostic viewer, intended use is for
Dallas Semiconductor/MAXIM's TINI®, to route incoming TCP requests to an
alternate TINI web servers. Any request incoming on the first TINI's socket
port 80 (one Proxy is started), will re-route to to the second TINI's socket
port 8080, or subsequent additional TINI's at the next available socket
port..

Typical LAN portals/firewalls, allow only one server access via socket port
80, due to NAT (Network Address Translation). When the portal/router has
been assigned a fixed IP address (provided by your ISP; example -
http://66.47.208.241), and you have selected a TINI to lease a DHCP IP
Address, the TINI will be assigned a new IP Address via DHCP that is
translated from the original fixed IP address (example -
http://172.16.1.37). Your portal/firewall must be configured to allow TCP/IP
requests to this particular TINI that sits "behind" the firewall.

If you choose to run a web server on this single TINI, such as Shawn
Silverman's Tynamo, then everything is fine. But if you want to run a second
(or third, forth, fifth, etc.) TINI also listening on socket port 80, we
have a problem!  Remember that the portal/firewall only allows  one server
access via socket port 80.  That's a problem, with an easy "fix".  Configure
your portal/firewall to "listen" on  http://66.47.208.241:80 as well as
http://66.47.208.241:8080.  Then run Proxy on the first TINI, which will
re-route all incoming requests on socket port  80 of the first TINI to
socket port  port 8080 on the second (or more) TINI's.


I sent TINI Proxy 0.3.zip off list to you, and please acknowledge if you
decide to use, it to inform the TINI Developers Community (TINI SIG).
