Interesting !! Did you try with another file ?

Check if your IP address & Gateway settings are proper.

Subject: [ColdFire] TFTP with the M5275EVB

Hi all,
Question about TFTP. I'm running Ubuntu Gusty with xinetd, tftpd, and tftp installed as per this how-to: http://www.davidsudjiman.info/2006/03/27/installing-and-setting-tftpd-in-ubuntu/ .

I have a /tftpboot folder, and my /etc/xinetd.d/tftp is as follows:

service tftp

{

protocol = udp

port = 69

socket_type = dgram

wait = yes

user = nobody

server = /usr/sbin/in.tftpd

server_args = -s /tftpboot

disable = no

}

The board settings are as follows:
server: 192.168.1.101
client: 192.168.1.102
gateway: 127.0.0.1
netmask: 255.255.255.0
filename: image.bin
.....

The gateway setting is a little strange, but it doesn't seem like it should matter, and when using Windows w/ the TFTP-GUI server, it is necessary for things to work right.

The service seems to run fine, and when I run 'dn' from dBug it connects to the TFTP server. I get a 'file not found' error. If I change the filename setting to /tftpboot/image.bin (which seems wrong), I get an access denied error..... I have set the permissions of /tftpboot and image.bin to global read/write access and 'nobody' owner with:

$ sudo chmod -R 777 /tftpboot

$ sudo chown -R nobody /tftpboot
Am I missing something here?
Thanks,
-David
