Hello Rod.

Seems like you have to install giveio.sys? I'm not sure if the loaddrv
method works on the newest PC's; there might be issues with it in
Vista (especially 64-bit).

Even with giveio installed, you might still have a config issue. The
chipset and BIOS might have LPT1 support; if it is the case, you
should disable it in the BIOS setup. Then, in Windows' Control
Panel/System/Device Manager/Ports: your PCI parallel port might show
up as"Printer Port (LPT3)" or something. Change it to LPT1 or 2
(Parameter tab). I suspect gdb/bdm might only scans those two I/O
ranges (378 and 278).

I all else fails, you could get PEmicro's USB Multilink with
CodeSourcery's GCC for ColdFire. Or try Chris Johns' BDM GDB Server
(SourceForge). It supports Daniel Malik's low-cost, open-source
'TBLCF' USB/BDM interface. I have not tried that last combination
myself. If anybody has, please let us know about it...

Hope this helps.

Marc
