QADC continuous scan mode...

I am operating my QADC software triggered continuous scan mode. The MPC555 user
manual states that "software can read a result value at any time." My question is, wouldn't
you need to check the status register before you read the value in the result register to
make sure that the value you're reading isn't the one currently being updated? Sorry for
the newbie question, I'm new to this stuff. Thanks!
