OK, your measurement function is OK, I've run it on the ASH WARE 
simulator without any problems.  Your control registers are fine too.  
I'm guessing that your square wave function is depending on DIOB being 
unchanged between time slices and that when the measurement function 
starts and clobbers DIOB, the wave function flips out.

If this is not the case, can you also supply your square wave function 
source?
