I have never used visionClick, but most of your steps below are correct. The shadow is connected to block0 in that if you erase block 0, you will always erase shadowA - this is built into the device and is not configurable with your tools. To program the shadow, set SIE as you had indicated in previous mail. Even if you just leave the shadow erased, the CPU will then use the default reset word of 0x0000000 which may be OK for you. If I understand your problem correctly, you have programmed code into FLASH that will toggle a TPU pin. You then remove the BDM and reset and expect the TPU pin to toggle, but it is not. If this is the problem, then there are a few steps you have to complete and you should search the data base to ensure they are achieved i.e. : - program reset config word to something sensible (there have been previous mails on how to do this and I have attached sample s-recs). - ensure that any initialisation your debugger used to do is now included in your source code. This includes disabling watchdog, enabling memory, etc. Your previous .sch file is way to big - there are many registers (TOUCAN, etc, etc) that are not part of a basic initialisation. A basic initialisation may be as little as writing 0x0000FF08 to 0x2FC004 to disable WDOG. Besides, if I understand your problem correctly and you are wanting to boot from FLASH, then you won't need a debugger initialisation - isn't that what this .sch file is??? - you have to program your reset and any used interrupt vectors. The debugger would usually take care of this. See previous emails in the data base/ - you have may have to remap some sections if you were previously debugging from FLASH i.e. ensure variables, etc have not inadvertanly been moved to a FLASH area. - debug your code from FLASH before trying to boot from flash if you haven't already done so. In my board I have not extended the Data bus and I think let the RSTCONF* is pulled up to 3.3V through a 10K resistor and it should read the reset configuration word form the shadow and then boot from the internal flash. The attached file is my .sch file.I am really wish someone can affirm whether it is right or not! My programming platform is from windriver system - Tornado for OSEKWorks. And the burnning software is visionClick 7.0. But i am not familiar to it! With regard to the demo board,the manual is said as follows: 1.Select the “00: MPC555 K1,2,3,M ( 448 x 8 ) 1 Device” Driver. 2.Use internal RAM workspace starting at 0x003F9800. 3.Set physical flash Base Address to 0x0. 4.PREPARE the special *.BIN file and specify its path and file name. 5.enable VPP to 5v, epee t0 3.3v and force Sys. rstcnf* connected to sreset* ,Clock to 40MHz. 6.Click on “Erase-only”. This will erase BOTH Shadow and Main Arrays. 7.check that the CMFMCR_A SIE bit is set to “0”Program data into Main array (448K-bytes), But in the demo board, the RSTCONF* is set to Hreset*, the D20 is set to "1", and the CPU read the reset configuration word form the external Data bus. Have you ever used the visionClick 7.0 to program the reset configuration word in shadow flash to 0x0000 or program the internal flash with your program? As I kown through the above steps, when use "erase" , it will erase BOTH Shadow and Main Arrays. what can i do by wisionClick to achieve this? I really appreciate much for your help!
