I am sinil, working in Medha Servo Drives Pvt Ltd located at hyderabad. I have MPC565 target board. I have downloaded Metroworks Code Warrior Version 8 and got license.dat file from freescale.
In compiler I have selected target name as "Internal SRAM" and in EPPC linker segment addresses I have unmarked "user linker command file" and marked code address with 0x003fa000.
Til now I have tested all peripherals by polling method with same settings.
But when I used interrupts(assinging level, enabling peripheral interrupts, enable SIMASK and EIE) the compiler is displaying dialog box with message "Power PC exception: external exception 0x0500".
Randy from freescale has suggested me that the codewarror assumes that I want to stop and go to debug mode if any exception occurs, including external interrupts. For that I have unmarked the External EPPC exception in configuration panel to allow code to handle instead debugger to catch.
But still it is displaying dialog box with message other than this(Program exception or machine check exception). I have tried with freescale interrupt examples(PIT example, examples from codewarrior directory and TPU zip files) by adding separate exception.s file also. I have unmarked all exceptions. Still ISR is not excuted.
Can you please suggest me what I should do or send me one example code with all required files. Is is problem with compiler settings or hardware problems or processor is not able to fetch ISR address.
Thanking You
Regards
Sinil B
